NATASHA BLANCHARD

Principal

Natasha Blanchard is an accomplished public communications professional with 25 years of experience working closely with A-list talent and global brands in feature film, TV, and national politics; collaborating with entrepreneurs, small to medium businesses, hospitals and educational institutions; and producing intricate in-person and hybrid events ranging from grassroots to luxury.

Natasha began her career in New York City, assisting Michael J. Fox as he worked on his final season of TV’s SPIN CITY, launched his Parkinson’s foundation, and began writing his first memoir, LUCKY MAN. A position consulting for Reese Witherspoon later brought Natasha to Los Angeles before joining Oscar-Winning GLADIATOR Producer Douglas Wick at his Sony Pictures Studios-based Red Wagon Entertainment. There, Natasha was immersed in Wick’s diverse 40+ project slate (including GLADIATOR 2) and all phases of development, production, marketing, and release of five films in under three years (MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA, BEWITCHED, WIN A DATE WITH TAD HAMILTON, PETER PAN, and JARHEAD). Post-Red Wagon, Natasha assisted in Sony Pictures Marketing & Distribution before working creatively with HOUSE OF SAND AND FOG writer/director Vadim Perelman as he executed a page-one rewrite of his film adaptation of THE GIVER.

Natasha subsequently served as Vice President of Development for movie mogul Alan Ladd Jr. at his Ladd Company, beginning during production, marketing, and theatrical release of Ben Affleck’s directorial debut, GONE BABY GONE. During the 2008 Presidential election, Natasha was Special Events Director for Generation Obama: Los Angeles, Obama For America's grassroots volunteer organization which birthed Shepard Fairey's iconic HOPE poster. With $0 budget, GO/LA raised $1.6 million and gained national press coverage by devising unique, exciting events. Attendance at GO/LA’s final election night celebration exceeded 10,000 guests and featured performances by director Jon M. Chu’s dance squad.

Natasha went on to produce LADDIE: THE MAN BEHIND THE MOVIES—a documentary about Alan Ladd, Jr.—the Oscar-winning producer & former studio chief whose 165 iconic films (STAR WARS, BRAVEHEART, ALIEN, BLADE RUNNER…) launched today’s most prominent actors & directors. Earning a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score, and now available to stream, LADDIE features interviews with George Lucas, Sigourney Weaver, Morgan Freeman, Mel Brooks, Ridley Scott, Ben Affleck, and more.

In Boston, as Producer at Rafanelli Events, Natasha oversaw private, corporate, and non-profit events from start to finish, ensuring every detail’s execution according to client specifications. Rafanelli clients Natasha worked with included The Obama White House, U.S. State Department, and AIDS Action Network.

Since 2013, Natasha has funneled her experience, knowledge, network, and decades honing compelling and resonant storytelling into strategizing and addressing individual clients' media and communications goals. At Lede Communications, we custom-craft your optimal project solution, strategy or campaign—led by a carefully appointed team to meet your unique needs.
